Grace Krause is seeking to marry a man with the last name Chesterton. The odds of this just happening to work out are… unlikely, but the joke would be worth it, no?
In the meantime, Grace lives in South Louisiana, basking in the beauty of its vibrantly unique culture while attempting to spring the beauty of Catholic theology and Church history onto unsuspecting high school students. She also loves sunshine, British detective fiction, poetry, Guinness, bar trivia (which she is endlessly bad at), symphonies, Irish fiddle circles, and spending her summers gallivanting across the country, discovering the endless natural beauty of these United States…which, incidentally, is how she met Marie.
Marie Bates is the wife of David Bates and the mother of three children. Marie is from San Diego, CA, but she now calls La Crosse, WI home. She studied English literature, then taught littles about literature. Marie loves cooking and baking, tending the chickens, kissing her children, feeding people, drawing while having a cup of coffee, Divine Liturgy, singing, with her family, reading one of her favorite books*, squeezing in a pilates workout, attending her book club, hearing a snippet of Pints with Jack or The Literary Life Podcast, and living every bit of life with her husband, who is her constant companion in practicing Spanish (just to stay sharp).
